Travelling the route from Chalkida heading north to Agia Anna, Limni, Rovies and Aidipsos, the lash green mountain that once dominated the area is no longer there. However, a couple of years after the devastating wildfires of August 2020, nature has begun to heal and recover, as small green leaves and twigs have begun to sprout and bloom.

This region produces excellent mushrooms, bio meat, figs, oil, honey, cheese, pasta, salted fish and legumes. After the devastating summer of 2020, local producers are trying to get back on their feet and the whole region is undergoing a reconstruction effort.

Travelling the route from Chalkida heading south to Aliveri, Kymi, Zarakes and even further, the region is full of local producers, farmers and establishments that see near to zero commercialization.

This part produces excellent olive oil, mushrooms, bio meat, dry figs, honey, feta cheese, pasta, pomegranade, legumes and more.

Our Local Products of Evia tour includes short visits to local producers and farms where the guest can enjoy a first hand experience on how a small family business makes a living, what are their challenges, how they do their marketing, etc.

The tour is primarily based on seasonality and all visits must be booked well in advance.
